Julia Gorbach is an Emmy award-winning Director, Producer, and multidisciplinary Storyteller working within virtual reality, interactive, film, and media production. A Creative Producer and Founding Member at The Skin Deep where she directed, produced, wrote, and filmed award-winning interactive and digital documentary series {THE AND}, The Dig, Senior Orientation, The Window, and HonestX, reaching over 45 million views in 146 countries. Julia is also part of NEW INC at NYC's New Museum where she is developing the original interactive series Circle.
Prior to her work within new media formats, Julia worked within independent productions, film festivals, and photography studios in NYC and Paris. Her work has been screened at festivals across the world, including Cannes Court Métrage, Sundance, IDFA DocLabs, Tribeca Storyscapes, Aspen, True/False, Australia Shorts, Film Gate Miami, and Rooftop Films. Julia is Ukrainian-born, NYC-raised. Julia is also an award-winning actress, best known for her lead role in the Cannes selected short film, Sasha, and her feature on the cover of British Photo Professional Magazine. She speaks fluently Russian English.
